Exclude Asset from Attack Surface

This guide will walk you through the process of excluding an asset from potential nodes in the attack surface. The Ostorlab platform will continuously scan and propose potential assets that may belong to your organisation. Excluding means you confirm that these assets are out of your scope, for example the platform will propose a cloud provider only because your infrastructure is hosted there.

1. Click the menu icon on the left

2. Click "Attack Surface"

Navigate to the "Attack Surface" section.

Click 'Attack Surface'

3. Click "Discovery"

Select the "Discovery" option from the menu.

Click 'Discovery'

4. Click "Discovered"

Choose the "Discovered" tab from the menu to see the potential assets that may belong to your organisation.

Click 'Discovered'

5. Select the node

Choose the node you want to exclude.

Select the node

6. Click "Exclude"

Right click on the node, and select the "Exclude" option from the menu.

Click 'Exclude'

7. Confirm the action

Confirm your action by clicking on the "Exclude" button.

Click 'Exclude'
