Managing Inventory Asset Owners

Each asset has an owner. Owners are grouped in a hierarchy and each owner has a designated contact.

4 categories of owners can be defined:

• Internal: An assets owned by the organization internally.
• Acquisition: Acquisitions that are not yet integrated internally.
• 3rd Party Service: External services used by the organization but not owned or operated internally.
• Rejected: Excluded assets that should be disqualified from asset discovery.

To add an owner, go to the Inventory menu and then Owner. Each owner has an add button to toggle the add owner form. You can also use these menus to list the assets owned by that owner, edit them or delete them.
